Jake & Cooper Logan - building backpacks
The backpacks are given to families by doctors and nurses upon diagnosis of Kawasaki Disease. During the actual diagnosis, families are confused, have questions, and have probably been in and out of doctor offices and hospitals with multiple misdiagnosis — and need support and smiles now more than ever. The backpack program is set to do just that! We fill the backpacks with comfort items, toys, games, gift cards, and information on Kawasaki Disease.
testimonials
My daughter received a backpack in the hospital. I can still remember how excited she was to receive it and play with the things inside. It made our long hospital stay a little brighter. It was the first time she smiled for weeks of being miserable and it really warmed our hearts to see her return to herself. She still uses it to this day and tells her friends about how only kids with Kawasaki Disease get one. Our family sends the most heartfelt thank you! - Kawasaki Mom
Our son’s backpack brought comfort during a really scary time. Knowing other Kawasaki Kids cared enough to send it gave us strength and reminded us that brighter days were ahead. - Julie
