About
Shawn Logan
Executive director/founder
Shawn Logan serves as the Executive Director/Founder of the Kawasaki Kids Foundation, leading the organization with a deep commitment to improving the lives of children and families impacted by Kawasaki Disease.
Shawn’s dedication is rooted in his own family’s journey. His son was misdiagnosed, resulting in a giant coronary aneurysm and full kidney failure. That life-changing experience became Shawn’s driving force — his “why” — inspiring him to raise awareness, improve early diagnosis, and provide meaningful support to families navigating this serious disease.
A devoted husband and proud father of three boys, Shawn brings both personal experience and professional leadership to the foundation. When he’s not advocating for Kawasaki Kids, you can often find him indulging his passion as a self-proclaimed taco junkie.
Through his work, Shawn strives to ensure that no child or family faces Kawasaki Disease alone.

About
kaylee mascarenas
board member
My name is Kaylee. I’ve been involved with the foundation for the last six years. I started with the Bags, Bites, and Brews Cornhole Tournament the second year it was put on by Kawasaki Kids. Since then, KKF had a part of my heart and I knew I needed to be more involved. In 2025 I was lucky enough to be welcomed as a board member. I’ve been a child protection caseworker for Weld and El Paso county since 2019.
I am a huge world traveler and have been to over 20 countries. I love to see the world and embrace the cultures that each unique location provides.
